The Biggest Take-Away From Starting A Business

Starting/running/owning a business can teach you so much—it sure as hell taught me a lot.

Delegation, planning, strategizing, selling, and much more. But there is 1 take-away that trumps all else.

Responsibility.

When things go right in life, we try to take credit for it. When we fail, we try to blame others rather than take responsibility and work towards making positive changes.

Taking responsibility for the good and the bad puts you in a position of power—power over your own being.

Being responsible for your mistakes and failures forces you to adjust. Adjust your environment, your habits, your routines, whatever it may be.

By deflecting responsibility to someone else, we lose the power over ourselves to learn and become harder, better, faster, stronger.
